Highland Cow Interaction Policy: Our Highland cows are beautiful, friendly animals, but it’s important to remember that they are still livestock. While some are halter-trained and enjoy human interaction, they are not domesticated pets and do not respond to commands like a dog might. They may move around unpredictably, and their behavior is influenced by their surroundings.
Due to their natural habits, they may not always be able to enter the greenhouse but will remain accessible outside for interaction and photos.
As with any animal, they relieve themselves at unpredictable times. We do our best to maintain a clean environment, but their care and comfort come first.
While they are people-friendly and enjoy attention, children should remain calm and respectful around them. Running, shouting, or sudden movements can startle them, and for everyone’s safety, we ask that all guests follow staff instructions at all times.
Our top priority is the safety of both our guests and our animals, so we ask for patience, understanding, and a respect for their natural behaviors.
